At IPP, we are experts at loft conversions. This is one of our most requested projects and always leaves our customers with a beautiful new addition to their home. We offer several different types of loft conversion, depending on your needs. We also have many positive reviews from our past customers.

What happens?

We have an in-house architect, who will work with you to create a plan that meets your wants, whilst also achieving everything you need structurally. Even if this takes several redesigns, we want to make sure that you are 100% happy before we get to work. Once these plans are drawn up, they will be handed over to our structural engineer. Our engineer will then get to work on constructing steel beams to exactly fit your space.

Once this is all put into motion, we will then start to draw up the necessary documents to make sure that all planning permission needed is in place. We want to make sure that this isn’t something that you have to worry about, and can get this done quickly, so we can start delivering our building services. Most of the time, loft conversions can be carried out under permitted development. We can give you some free advice on this if needed.

After all of this is put in place, the building work can start. We not only provide all of the building work but will project manage throughout. If anything does need to be outsourced, we will also oversee this. So, we can keep to a timeline and make sure that everything gets done to an incredibly high standard.

HIP TO GABLE LOFT CONVERSION

A Hip to Gable loft conversion gives you a much larger living area in the existing loft space. This is somewhat similar to a dormer loft conversion, however, this will give more headroom to your hipped roof and overall allow you to have much more space in your loft.

DORMER LOFT CONVERSION

A Dormer Loft conversion is a conversion that creates a structure on one side of the building. This is done by extending straight out from the ridge of the roof. This creates a wall that comes from the floor at a 90-degree angle, giving you much more space for your conversion.

MANSARD LOFT CONVERSION

This style of conversion is incredibly popular in London, or more built-up areas, as they provide great space whilst being one of the best options for semi-detached, or even terraced, houses. This style of conversion is also usually done to the rear of the property.

VELUX WINDOW LOFT CONVERSION

This is a great option for those who want to add another room to their home, but don’t need as much additional space as a dormer or hip to gable conversion. This does add space, but preserving the slanted roof means that there isn’t as much headroom.
